“It’s better for us to laugh at life than to cry over it.” - Seneca
SMILE: A Light-Hearted Cancer Memoir (That Isn’t Really About Cancer)
What happens when life throws you something so absurd you can only laugh?
This is a collection of reflections from my cancer journey, but it’s not really a book about cancer. It’s about noticing the odd, tender, sometimes ridiculous moments that arise when life breaks your rhythm. From hoarding strawberry buns I never wanted, to finding joy in street food videos while I couldn’t eat, these stories are my way of capturing what it means to keep going.
Sneak Peak of the Chapters
Each chapter is a short postcard from the journey, that even in uncertainty, we can still notice the good.
